Architectural History Tour of Cathedral Hill

June 23, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

(former) Happy Gnome 498 Selby Ave,
Saint Paul, MN 55102 United States
Description

The history of Cathedral Hill revealed through its architecture…

Join us for a walking tour of one of the oldest neighborhoods in St. Paul. We’ll meet at the former home of Happy Gnome (498 Selby Avenue) and learn what its square cupola tells us about its past life. A stroll down Selby will reveal a dynamic neighborhood with a storied history. Let’s peek into the past when we end our tour at The Commodore Bar & Restaurant, restored to its 1920s Jazz-age glamour. The tour will be led by 106 Group Sr. Architectural Historian and St. Paul native Erin Que.

RSVP by June 19. In keeping with the Governor’s Stay Safe MN Order, space is limited to 10 people and face masks are required. Please RSVP only if you are certain you can make it. If popularity exceeds capacity, a second tour will begin about 15 minutes after the first.

This is a one-hour (half-mile) walking tour, so please come dressed to walk and be outdoors rain or shine.
