Description

Minnesota is making major efforts in the clean energy market. Currently, the state has a 25 percent renewable energy mandate. Looking toward the future, there is an effort to have energy be from carbon-free sources by 2050, as recently reported by MPR. These initiatives make siting and planning for renewable/transmission facilities and mitigating impacts to the environment increasingly important. No one knows this better than John Wachtler, former Energy Program Director and current Transmission Planning Director for MN Department of Commerce. Mr. Wachtler will be presenting to MNAEP members on planning and permitting renewable energy and transmission infrastructure in Minnesota.

After Mr. Wachtler’s presentation, please join MNAEP for a networking hour at New Amsterdam Bar across the street from the Osborn building.

This event is for MNAEP members.

Presentation begins at 6pm in the Lake Superior Conference Room on 4th Floor. Networking Happy Hour following at New Amsterdam Bar (6 West 6th Street, Wabasha St N, St Paul, MN 55102)

There are several parking ramps located nearby with validated parking available for those that park in the Tria Ramp (400 Wabasha St N, St Paul, MN 55101) attached by Skyway to the Osborn building.
