  • 22 Jul 2025
  • 6:00 PM
  • HDR 1st Floor Training Room (1601 Utica Ave S, Suite 600, St. Louis Park)
Join MNAEP on Tuesday, July 22nd as we rebroadcast NAEP's webinar Quick Hit Reactions to Supreme Court's Ruling in Seven Counties Infrastructure, followed by a live Q&A with Fred Wagner, Principal Environmental Advisor at Jacobs.

About the Webinar

The Supreme Court recently issued its ruling in the first NEPA case it agreed to resolve in over twenty years. In Seven County Infrastructure Coalition v. Eagle County, the Court is confronted with the crucial question about how far an agency must consider the upstream and downstream impacts of proposals for federal action. The Court's decision has the potential to shape the scope of NEPA compliance for years to come. This NAEP webinar was hosted by Fred Wagner and Jay Johnson (counsel of record for the Seven County Infrastructure Coalition) on June 5th, providing an up-close perspective on this monumental case.

About the Speaker & Guest

Fred Wager focuses on environmental and natural resource issues, associated with major infrastructure, mining, and energy project development. Fred was appointed Chief Counsel of the U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) during the Obama administration. Fred began his career as a trial attorney in the Environment Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He also served as a special assistant U.S. attorney in the Misdemeanor Trial Section of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia. Prior to joining Jacobs, Fred spent more than 25 years in private practice in two national law firms, focusing on all aspects of environmental and natural resources law. He routinely defended project permits and approvals in federal court, including at the U.S. Supreme Court.
