Tribal Engagement Panel Discussion

  • 8 Dec 2025
  • 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Parkdale Training Room - West End Plaza, Level 1 (1660 MN-100, St. Louis Park, MN 55416)

Native American culture is rich and diverse, dating back thousands of years. The United States has a long history of discrimination against Native Americans. Many indigenous people have been displaced from their ancestral lands, and their cultures have been suppressed over generations. Please join our panelists including a Tribal Historic Preservation Officer, Federal and State agency representatives, and experienced tribal engagement consultant as they share their perspectives on tribal consultation and engagement; the requirements of tribal consultation under Section 106, NEPA, and certain state laws; and best practices for tribal engagement. Come with your questions and gain insight regarding how to effectively facilitate tribal consultation and engagement.

  • Adam Savariego, Native American Affairs Coordinator, Governor Walz Office
